"I look forward to jumping in to help Fulfillment Fund students get to and through college successfully," Austin says.
The Fulfillment Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to making college a reality for students growing up in economically and educationally under-resourced communities, today announced that Monica Austin, of Facebook, has been appointed to its Board of Directors.
Austin leads Movie & TV and strategic partnerships for Facebook. Prior to her work at Facebook, Austin was Senior Vice President of Business and Brand Development for Shine Media in which she oversaw business and brand development for popular shows such as "MasterChef" and "The Biggest Loser."
“Monica Austin brings a tremendous amount of creativity and innovative ideas to the Fulfillment Fund Board,” says Fulfillment Fund Chief Executive Officer Kenny Rogers. “I am excited to work with her to spread the Fulfillment Fund’s message and help extend educational opportunity to more students in Los Angeles.”
“The best career advice I ever received was to jump in and get my hands dirty,” Austin says. “You can't make a difference in a situation if you don't get involved. I look forward to jumping in to help Fulfillment Fund students get to and through college successfully. The Fulfillment Fund is a truly special organization and I am honored to be joining the board.”
