General Summary:
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will support the Director of Marketing and Communications in executing the organization’s marketing, branding, and communication strategies. This entry-level role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual with 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field. The Coordinator will assist in developing and distributing content across digital platforms, promoting events, enhancing community engagement, and supporting the organization’s fundraising initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
(Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of Director of Marketing and Communications.)
Marketing and Content Development:
- Assist in creating and developing content for Fulfillment Fund’s external and internal communication channels, including digital and print media, social media, and email newsletters, to enhance awareness of the organization’s mission and programs.
- Support copywriting and development of communication materials, including the annual report, annual donor appeal, brochures, and infographics.
- Solicit, compile, and produce stories for the monthly e-newsletter and post relevant blogs on the website.
Social Media and Digital Outreach:
- Build and manage social media channels, executing strategies to maximize engagement, particularly for mission-related initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Director to develop digital event collateral, including save-the-dates, invitations, programs, and tribute journals, as well as generate web and social media content.
Event and Fundraising Support:
- Assist in promoting and coordinating fundraising events, creating and distributing marketing materials to drive attendance and donor engagement.
- Support event logistics by collaborating on event collateral and coordinating with vendors, photographers, and media as needed.
- Document event activities through photos and videos for use in social media, newsletters, and promotional materials.
Design and Branding Support :
- Assist in designing and editing branded materials and publications, working cross-departmentally to ensure cohesive communications and support fundraising initiatives.
- Help maintain and update content for the Fulfillment Fund website, ensuring it reflects current programs, events, and success stories.
Event Coordination and Media Relations:
- Host webinars and virtual events, using Zoom or other video chat platforms to engage audiences and promote organizational initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Director in developing event-related collateral and support coordination of media coverage, photography, and video production as needed.
- Attend events to document activities through photos and videos and manage content from team members for promotional use.
Administrative and Additional Support:
- Track and report on marketing metrics, including social media engagement and email campaign performance.
- Assist with organizing meetings, managing files, and supporting budget tracking for marketing projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing and Communications or other Fulfillment Fund leadership.
Supervisory and Team Leadership Responsibilities:
The position has does not have any staff supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications

- Proficiency in social media management and building engagement on mission-driven channels.
- Experience with digital marketing tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with WordPress preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish/English language skills are highly desirable.
- Experience hosting webinars and virtual events, preferably with Zoom or other video platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality, engaging content with minimal oversight.
- Strong attention to detail, as well as superior editing and proofreading skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset and willingness to learn.
Education and/or Experience:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
•Experience: 1-3 years in a related role, preferably with exposure to nonprofit marketing, communications, or events.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- A current California Driver’s License and current automobile insurance coverage.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment with a hybrid workplace policy. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones. While performing the duties of this job, must be available to work irregular hours, shifts, weekends, and holidays. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employee will constantly work in indoor/outdoor weather conditions.
Compensation:
- Salary: $47,840/year
- Full benefits package including health, vision, dental, and retirement plans.
