Rachel joined the Fulfillment Fund in May 2017 as communications manager, and transitioned to her current role as the director of communications in January 2019. As the director of communications, Rachel works to increase awareness of the organization’s mission and programs, support donor and event initiatives, share the stories of our students, and strengthen the Fulfillment Fund’s brand. In this role, Rachel is honored to help improve college access for thousands of Los Angeles students.
Throughout her nearly eight years in nonprofit communications, Rachel has focused on supporting pathways for young people that empower healthy and successful futures. Most recently, Rachel worked as communications manager at Venice Family Clinic, a local nonprofit offering health care 24,000 low-income Angelenos, and in the same role at The Trevor Project, a national suicide prevention nonprofit serving LGBTQ youth. In years prior, Rachel worked on communications and policy at PFLAG National, a chapter-based nonprofit that supports parents and friends of LGBTQ individuals, and as a nonprofit communications consultant and summer school teacher’s assistant.
Rachel is an Oregon native and California Lutheran University graduate, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Theatre Arts.
