Stephanie is a Los Angeles native, and first generation college graduate. She is passionate about giving back to the community she grew up in by empowering young students of color to pursue a higher education. Upon graduating from college, she completed over 1,700 hours of service at Manual Arts High School with an organization called City Year Los Angeles. She worked with 10th grade students to ensure they were on track for graduation by coaching them on attendance, behavior and, course performance.
Prior to joining Fulfillment Fund, Stephanie was the Director of Teen Services for the Los Angeles Boys and Girls Club, where she oversaw several teen programs and provided academic case management for 9-12th graders. Stephanie joined the Fulfillment Fund team in 2016 as a College Access Advisor working with students at Gertz-Ressler High School. Now, Stephanie serves as the Engagement Manager for the organization and focuses on developing the Fulfillment Fund’s student and parent enrichment programs: Lead, Empower Achieve Dream (LEAD), Men Creating Change (MCC), Resilient, Empowered, Ambitious Ladies (REAL), UCLA STEM, and the Fulfillment Fund Parent Program. She is invested in the growth and success of the students and families she works with and wants to ensure that students from underrepresented backgrounds have the tools to access and persist in higher education.
Stephanie is a graduate from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.A. in Gender Studies, and a Minor in Education Studies. She is currently working towards her Master’s degree in Social and Cultural Analysis of Education at CSU, Long Beach.
