A New School Year Begins
From navigating high school to thriving in college, students can count on Fulfillment Fund every step of the way. As the school year begins, our College Access and College Success teams are making sure students have the support and resources they need to succeed.
John Kuhlmann, our Director of College Access, shares how we’re equipping high school students with the tools and support they need to thrive this year.
College Application Guidance
For high school juniors and seniors, applying to college can feel overwhelming. Our counselors help break down the process—building timelines, researching colleges, reviewing applications, and making sure students feel confident as they take this next step.
Financial Aid & Scholarships
Paying for college is one of the biggest hurdles students face. That’s why we host financial aid application workshops, guide students through scholarship opportunities, and provide one-on-one support so cost isn’t a barrier to pursuing higher education. Last academic year alone, over 99.5% of our seniors successfully completed federal and state financial aid forms with the help of our counselors, and many secured scholarships or aid packages that made college possible.
Staying on Track to Graduate Through Senior Year
The journey to college starts with submitting an application but doesn’t end there. Our team of counselors help students stay on track with requested forms, transcripts, recommendation letters, and other deadlines. As seniors make college decisions, we also provide guidance on comparing college admission offers, completing enrollment steps, and preparing for a successful transition to college.
“I want to express my heartfelt thanks to Fulfillment Fund and my counselor for believing in me and guiding me every step of the way. Your encouragement has been invaluable, and I truly appreciate all the time and care you’ve invested in helping me get to college.”
Jaima, a freshman at the University of Wisconsin–Madison
Here are the ways we’re supporting college students this year from our Director of College Success, Olivia De La O.
Transitioning into College
The leap from high school to college can be daunting. Everything is new and can be a bit scary to tackle alone. Through our Summer Melt program and peer mentorship program, we help students find community, stay engaged, and start their college journey with confidence and support. Students step onto campus knowing that their peers are there to help and staff are only an email away.
Career & Academic Success
Once students are in college, we continue to walk beside them. From connecting to campus resources to career workshops and internship guidance, we make sure our students not only stay enrolled but also graduate ready to pursue their goals and pave the way for the next generation of scholars to come.
Building a Culture of Support
Behind every Fulfillment Fund student is a community that believes in their potential. Together, we’re creating a culture of support, resilience, and achievement that lasts far beyond the classroom.
