Annual Report 2024

As we reflect on the extraordinary journey of the 2023–2024 academic year, we are both proud and humbled by what our Fulfillment Fund community has accomplished together. In a time marked by systemic challenges and ongoing uncertainty, we met the moment with resilience, compassion, and an unwavering focus on student success.

This year, our commitment to delivering personalized, targeted support reached new heights. We expanded our FAFSA outreach and guidance, helping our students unlock more than $7.5 million in debt-free financial aid—a powerful testament to the impact of timely, student-centered advising. We continued to embed social-emotional wellness into our core programming, a practice that began during the pandemic and now plays an essential role in our holistic support model.

With deep gratitude, we acknowledge the steady leadership of our Board of Directors, whose insight and partnership helped us remain mission-focused and adaptive during pivotal moments. Their guidance, along with the dedication of our staff, volunteers, and generous supporters, propelled us forward as we served more students than ever before.

We proudly served 3,707 students this year through our College Access and College Success programs, including nearly 3,000 high school students across eight partner schools and five community-based organizations, and more than 750 college students. 96% of our high school seniors graduated, and 95% enrolled in college—remarkable outcomes that continue to outpace local and national averages. On the college front, 97% of Fulfillment Fund students persisted in their academic journeys, and 85% of our most recent six-year cohort earned their bachelor’s degrees, compared to just 25% across LAUSD.

This year was also filled with meaningful student programming and milestone events that deepened our community bonds. From our Career Expo and Career Speaker Series, to College Kickstart and our cherished College Sendoff, we created powerful moments of connection, preparation, and celebration. We also welcomed the 2024 Fulfillment Fund Scholars with a special ceremony and transformed our headquarters into a summer welcome event to usher new college freshmen into their next chapter.

With 96% of our students identifying as people of color and 81% as first-generation college-goers, our mission remains clear: to break down barriers and help students achieve their college dreams. Our work continues to be guided by a deep belief in the transformative power of education and the potential of every student we serve.

Together, we are not just shaping individual futures—we are building a legacy of equity, opportunity, and lasting change.
