$5.3M in Support and Scholarship Season Is Just Beginning
For many Fulfillment Fund students, scholarships are more than financial support — they are the bridge between ambition and opportunity. Last year alone, our counselors and advisors helped students secure more than $5.3 million in debt-free aid by connecting them to essential federal grants and national scholarships that make college dreams possible.
Named in honor of Kenny Washington, the scholarship pays tribute to his legacy as a barrier-breaking professional football player with the Los Angeles Rams. As a proud Los Angeles native, Kenny Washington opened doors for generations of black athletes. Honoring him is about more than football – it’s about equity, access, and opportunity.
Awards include: • 4-Year Scholarship: Up to $10,000 per year for up to 4 years • Community College Scholarship: Up to $5,000 per year
Each year, 13 students are selected to receive this scholarship — a nod to Kenny’s iconic #13 jersey. Beyond financial support, recipients gain access to mentorship, resources, and a community that champions their growth from high school through college.
This scholarship celebrates perseverance, leadership, and students who are ready to make history of their own.

“I am a 4th-year student at UCLA studying Mathematics of Computation. The Kenny Washington LA Rams Scholarship has opened many more doors for me over the past four years. Not only has it helped alleviate many of the financial stresses that come with the cost of college, but it has also connected me with Fulfillment Fund.
Fulfillment Fund has played a significant role in my college experience, from providing academic and career support to simply being there to listen when I needed guidance or encouragement. Receiving this scholarship is something that I am extremely grateful for, as it has positively impacted me in many ways.”
Coco Li, Kenny Washington Scholar 22’ at UCLA
Coco’s journey shows what is possible when preparation meets opportunity. She has not simply participated in our programs. She has leaned in fully, making the most of every workshop, mentoring session, and resource available to her.
Now, as part of our Career Readiness Program, Coco has secured an internship with Morgan Stanley, one of the largest investment banks in the world. What once may have felt out of reach is now a tangible and exciting step toward her future.
This is what happens when students are supported with intention and consistency. With the right guidance and belief behind them, they step confidently into spaces they once only imagined.
Why These Stories Matter
Many of our students are the first in their families to attend college. That means navigating financial aid, applications, and campus life without a roadmap.
Scholarships do more than ease financial stress. They create space — space to focus on academics, explore career pathways, build confidence, and step fully into college life. When we center student voices, we are reminded that access changes everything.
