Thank you for sipping & celebrating with us!
Last Friday, our Fulfillment Fund community gathered together for Sip & Celebrate, a virtual happy hour, to toast to the achievements of our remarkable students and alumni, and to raise critical funds toward our mission. More than 125 supporters, students, alumni, school partners, volunteers, and staff joined us for an evening of inspiring stories, awesome generosity, and some good old-fashioned fun!
Thanks to the munificence of our incredible donors, we exceeded our $30,000 goal the night of the event, and by the end of the weekend, we reached a total of nearly $265,000 raised to sustain Fulfillment Fund’s unparalleled College Access and Success programs — reaching Los Angeles’ highest-need students.
Our president, Joanne Reyes, kicked off the evening in remembrance of Andrea Cockrum, our founding CEO, whose recent passing reverberated among our community. Her legacy lives on in all the students and alumni whose lives Fulfillment Fund has impacted in her many decades leading the organization.
Special guests Ed Helms and Rosie O’Donnell joined the party with special messages, followed by moving stories from:
The evening included a live ‘paddle raise’ in support of Fulfillment Fund’s programs and a game that made an iPad or a vacation to Mexico available to one lucky donor. During the game, we made a surprise announcement to our incredible school partners — they received a special award to help one of their seniors with a scholarship to attend college.
We are absolutely humbled by the generosity of our sponsors and donors! Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed!
