With over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Lorena is a seasoned database manager who brings both technical skill and a deep commitment to mission-driven work. Her journey began in 2002 at the Museum of Contemporary Art, where she worked in the Development Office during the Andy Warhol exhibit — an experience that sparked her passion for data management. “Little did I know this was the start of my career working with nonprofits in database management,” says Lorena.
Lorena brings extensive expertise in Raiser’s Edge, the donor database software Fulfillment Fund relies on for donor record-keeping and all back-office functions of our development department. Her background in data management, fundraising operations, and building strong systems and procedures make her a crucial addition to our team. She joins us from Mayfield Senior School, where she served as Database Manager for five years, and previously spent over seven years as Database Manager at LA’s BEST.
Lorena was inspired to join Fulfillment Fund because she has seen firsthand how access to education can transform a young person’s future. The organization’s commitment to supporting students from under-resourced communities on their path to college deeply resonated with her, and she knew she wanted to be part of that mission.
Outside of work, Lorena enjoys playing Cribbage and participating in “Extra Life” with her husband to raise funds for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
