Connie Lucio joined the Fulfillment Fund in April 2020 as a College Counselor. Connie serves 11th -12th graders at both the School for Ambassador School of Global Leadership and the School for the Visual Arts and Humanities High School. Connie conducts one-on-one college counseling sessions with high school juniors and seniors providing resources, scholarships, and holds college and financial aid application workshops.
Connie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Cal State University Long Beach. During her time at CSULB, Connie dedicated her time providing mentorship, outreach, and campus tours to high school students. As an undergrad, she was an advisor for the Student Support Services Program at CSULB, providing college advising and resources to first-time freshmen college students. In addition, she volunteered at the YMCA after-school program to mentor and help underserved students with their homework. Connie also worked as a Program Leader with the non-profit organization, Celerity Educational Group for K-8 graders providing class sessions, tutorial services, development, and enrichment activities.
Prior to joining Fulfillment Fund, Connie was an Advisor for the Talent Search Program in North Hollywood with the non-profit organization, Volunteers of America. She served first-generation and low-income 9th-12th grade students providing advisement and essential resources to meet graduation and post-secondary requirements. Connie’s devotion in helping students led her to earn a Master of Science in Educational Counseling at University of La Verne. She firmly beliefs that education opens the doors to endless possibilities.
