Lead College Success Advisor
Mauro Perez joined Fulfillment Fund in January 2021. He currently serves as the Lead College Success Advisor and works to support students attending four-year institutions across California and out-of-state. Part of his responsibility is to provide one-on-one counseling on topics related to financial aid, academic planning, and career readiness. Additionally, he provides transfer advice to our Community College students.
Mauro is a first-generation college graduate born and raised in South Los Angeles. While in college, he worked as a Teacher’s Assistant at various elementary and middle school sites providing academic support to students in English and Math. Before joining Fulfillment Fund, Mauro worked for a non-profit organization in Pomona, where he helped first-generation students from underrepresented communities in their transition through college. Mauro’s goal has always been to return to the community where he grew up to help and empower students. He graduated from UC Riverside with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He will be starting his Master of Science in Higher Education program at CSU Fullerton in Fall 2023.
